Saline Beach

One of the larger beaches of the island, this is a tue postcard beach with white sand, turquoise sea and a background of rolling green hills. If you enjoy nude sunbathing, head to the left of the path for the unofficial naturist section of the beach. There are no services or shade on the beach, so be sure to bring food, drinks, umbrellas and chairs.

Flamands Beach

This gorgeaous, wide and long Caribbean beach, with the restauarnts of Cheval Blanc and La Langouste, has plenty possibilities for excelllent di ing or lunch. The ocean can get rough at times, but that brings along a wave of fun, excellent for body boarding.

Lorient Beach

Best Beaches on St Barts Island

There are about 20 spectacular beaches on St Barts, each with its own personality. Few are really crowded, even in peak season. All are public and free. In keeping  with its French heritage, topless is common at beaches. So sit back and enjoy the views !

Saint Jean Beach

The most popular beach in St Barts. Conveniently located, it hosts array of beachfront hotels, restaurants and water activities. The Eden Rock hotel, built on a rocky prominence, splits the beach in two. There is always a dramatic landing or take off from the airport to witness.

Shell beach is the only beach located in town, right in the hearth of Gustavia. The beach has calm waters but for a little adventure, there’s the possibility to do some cliff-diving or seabob activity, while the famous Shellona restauarnt offers lunch, sunbeds and cocktail by the sea.

Gouverneur Beach

Stretching out in front of the large private property, this beach has brilliant cobalt waters that are ideal for snorkeling or swimming, a fine stretch of white sand, and relatively few visitors.

This beach, not as well-known by visitors, has two distinctive parts: to the left lies the reef, which a true hotspot for surfing and hosts the local surf club. To the right is the wider beach whith easy water access that is very popular with local families and children.
